Warhammer 40K: Darktide Message Board  

We have found a way to play the game completely SOLO and OFFLINE via the help of a couple free mods. We can MOST LIKELY make a trainer for this mode. HOWEVER, there is NO PROGRESSION or REWARDS by playing in this mode, it would strictly be for practice/fun.

So, the question is, do we train it or wait for a true solo mode implemented by the game devs (which may never happen)?

Despite being promised on launch the Devs have been radio silent on any solo mode for the game. It is asked about by the community on a literal daily basis and has been since the game's release date in 2022. (18 months ago)

I make no exaggeration when I say that every twitter post made by Fatshark about Darktide has a dozen people asking about solo mode all of which is ignored.

Darktide has no roadmap, a single map release every six months or so, if a solo mode were coming I think they would have announced it by now. I would welcome any trainer by the overlords to squeeze some content out of this hobbled donkey of a game.

But would you and others who are interested in a trainer for this game be satisfied with a trainer for a modded solo mode that has no progression in particular? I know you said "any" but just to confirm. Emphasis on "no progression" because I think that's an important factor for many folks and to avoid potential misunderstandings. Given the lack of interest in modded realms (no progression) in vermintide, I think most people want progression.

I share your dismal outlook on offline solo mode (with progression) as well. It's why I stopped buying their games after the first vermintide. I also recall the devs saying that offline will come for their games only when they have to shut down the servers permanently.

I mean I tried out the mod myself, and honestly I would have liked the option to play the game as close to vanilla as possible. For progression reasons _ I wish we could get a solo play option from the Dev's but, the mod is legit instantly launching you into what is similar to the tutorial launch of the new character gameplay, and the whole time I was in the tutorial I kinda wanted to have the trainer on hand for "No Reload" or "Unlimited Stamina"

If folks like to play it, and solo is an option - I would take it just to get use to playing the game a little more, and then change up and remove the mods to progress the story if I can.

Another option is could always re-check the Mod tools and see if there is a way to Privately play? if someone has tested that yet? and I mean set Private mode on Steam and attempt to play online privately?
