It does work. Here are some tips:

Unlimited Arrows and Knives [Numpad 5] WILL NOT allow you to gain and/ or add and/ or remove (aka edit) Magatama.

I repeat, you CANNOT have Unlimited Arrows and Knives cheat enabled, if you have it enabled, disable it, then you can collect Magatama.

I have no idea why that is happening, it just is, so we'll deal with it until CH fixes it or, again, we just deal with it/ it's a working...workaround

Secondly, I had to actually EARN Magatama FIRST, before I could edit values. So, just enable invisible mode, go assassinate a target, you'll notice you will get Magatama. Then you can open the editor and change the value. You'll need to earn again for it to update, or spend at the buff shrine.

TL/DR:
You CANNOT earn Magatama with the "Infinite Arrows and Knives" cheat enabled. Earn some first, edit, then enable this cheat [default is Numpad 5] afterwards.

You should earn some Magatama FIRST, then you can edit the value. You'll then need to earn Magatama again, normally, and your total will update and/ or you can spend some on a buff at the Magatama buff reward shrine.
