As i have come across in game was level 999 pawns that are player created not the average capcom generated ones so this can be a sign that possibly there is a way to edit server sided pawns since technically you can turn off online use on the settings.
You can, but don't do it or your pawn gets soft ban and not end up getting RC
Do NOT edit your Primary Pawn.
It's an online feature, therefore it's constantly monitored.
Any modification done to your Primary Pawn will result in a permanent banishment.
Therefore you won't be able to obtain large quantities of Rift Crystals by sending it to other players' world.
You do you, of course. Free will and all that jazz. But your actions will have lasting if not permanent consequences.
It's "safe" so long as one does not do it while the "network features" option in settings is on. That's the one that periodically transmits a copy of our main pawn to capcom's servers for pawn trading. It's not compulsory to connected to it at all times.
If one wishes to engage in pawn trading again, then start a new game with an unedited pawn before turning back on "network features".
What I did in the first game was to maintain 2 saves (one with edited pawn, one legit) and swap them in and out while toggling the "online/offline mode" setting accordingly. My "legit" save is still working in terms of pawn trading till this day after years.
