Hi Cal - thanks for looking into this.

I have tried that suggestion above, but does not solve the issue.

When editing the number of shards - the game shows the new edited amount of shards in the inventory, but any other screen or crafting menu/vendor shows the value prior to the editing for metal shards.

The editing of shards does not persist through a save and reload either so all I can think of is there must be an alternate value for metal shards that the game uses.

Shards option will be removed as I stated a few days ago.

thanks for everyone trying to help. Works here but if it won't work in stores then I guess it won't

I personally did not care that the shards do not stay persistent. Edited to be a high amount, like 500,000, made my upgrades or purchases, moved on. If I quit the game and restarted, yes, they were gone, but big deal. If I got down to a low amount, I just edit and make it 500,000 again. So what if I had to do it more than once. I'm not that lazy that I can't edit the value again. Consider re-adding it?

I personally could not get the edit shards to work. Whenever it was edited the vendor menu reset to it's default value.

However, using "max inventory" function, I turned it on in the inventory screen, turned it off. Sold all my items at a vendor and made plenty shards. Rinse and repeat.

Activate trainer, launch game, activate your favorite features. Load your last save. That's key, a save has to be loaded. You cannot be in any game menu, like inventory, just standing in the open world is fine. ALT-TAB on your keyboard to switch to the trainer. Click on Editor and you'll see the current number of shards, say 7000, along with XP, level and skill points. Change the value to be your choice, like 500000 and then just click back to Trainer (with the house icon), and ATL-TAB back to the game. If I made a purchase for example, chillwater, 35 would be deducted and now I have 499965. If I saved game and exited, going back in I now have 6965 instead of 7000 as my base shards. Just edited again and made it 500000. Now maybe it's because I've always had enough base shards to begin with that I have never not been able to make a purchase. I will have to see what happens when my base shards get to 0 if I stop collecting along the way, but I've never had an issue making a purchase so far. Only just got into No-Mans Land, so I have a long way to go. I'm also using Aurora, not stand-alone trainer. Hope that helps and it works as I think it does if base shards get too low.

I have been using "Easy Craft" for unlimited shards to buy everything. Even if I have 0 shards, turning on Easy Craft and going to the vendors allows you buy everything.
