Used CoSMOS, doing the same steps as on here - Open Inventory, change values, close inventory, drop essence, pick up essence.

Now I have unlimited t3 Essence.

I've been grinding my back off for essence, :/

maybe you can include a video? cause i have done the exact same method that works for every other item but when i do it with essence it does not work.

Figured out a pattern. Still doesn't make a lot of sense but I'm hoping this will help some people out...

The item side of your hotbar (Default 6-0 and Q) are represented in the editor by slots 6,4,10,7,8,3. So Slot 6 effects Hotbar 6, Slot 4 effects Hotbar 7, Slot 10 effects Hotbar 8, etc...

The backpack grid only has 4 Slots. Starting at your upper most left backpack slot and moving to the right, so the first 4 backpack grid (BG) square in the top most row. So, BG 1 in the editor is Slot 20, BG 2 is Slot 19, BG 3 is Slot 17, and BG 4 is Slot 18. Nothing past those first 4 are controlled in the editor. Also worth noting that no matter the backpack sorting option you use the only one that shows the way the editor displays is ABC.

That leaves Slots 1,2,5,9,11,12,13,14,15,16. Those effect your clothes and the first half of your hotbar (Default 1-5). I didn't have an easy way to determine which controlled which.

Hope this helps some people because it confused the hell out of me at first.

Yep, I agree with Arisboch. Tried dropping it from my backpack and a few other random things and the value change was purely visual on my end. So a vid showing how you got it working would be immensely helpful!

For people asking about a means to do this with essence, you could just manipulate the stack of an item and then extract it. I find using items like charms or general "upgrade health/stamina/etc" type items are best as they can be stacked up to 10k each and then extracted for a massive amount. Obviously doing this is 100x faster than doing stacks of 100 wood or whatever.

I tried Xbox game bar to record but Cosmos doesn't show up in the recording

perfect,, used editor, got network error and now cant start game anymore

The game has frequent server upgrade/downtime.

I've edited the crap out of my game all day yesterday, and for the last 4 hours today.
About 20 chests filled with a good 500 of each rare crafting material, about 3,000,000 of Normal/T1/T2 essence, my game is running fine.

I even gave heaps to my wife who now has 1,000,000 of each essence.

It has to be something your side, not the game itself.
