I've never used a trainer like these sites trainers when a game had something like Denuvo Anti-tamper like this game has. Does that require extra steps that I don't know about before using trainer?
In my experience, denuvo anti-tamper (the drm, not the anti-cheat) usually doesn't interfere with cheat tools so usually there aren't any other extra steps unlike actual anti-cheats like battleeye or EAC. I have been able to use memory scanning tools like cosmos on denuvo games without any issue as well. This is just from the user viewpoint of course, the actual programming of trainers for such games could have its own kinks.
Having said that, denuvo (or even those without it) games could also have their own separate anti-cheat measures. For example, modern resident evil games come with Denuvo, but even though Denuvo does not act as anti-cheat, the game engine itself has anti-cheat measures baked into it, thus requiring an extra step to download and put a DLL file in the game folder. So even after denuvo had been removed from them, the engine anti-cheat still remains.
If there are any extra steps to be taken with this game, the trainer author will inform us of it. Keep a lookout for the instructions in OP or in the readme.

Is there any way to stop the Fast Ships and Fast Research from also working on the AI?
