    Hi,

when I use the savegame backup function I'll always get the following error:

    Version: 1.9.0.0
Subject: Saving on network path not working

    Cheat Happens Aurora 1.9.0.0

The trainer still works as expected!

It looks like you have put your "My documents" folder in a network drive? Is the drive accessible/available? Does it require a login?

This is correct. The documents folder is being redirected to a network path for savety of the documents.
The drive in general is available with my account.
I'm in a domain with specific permission settings but the corresponding documents folder is accessible by the owner, which is me in this case.
The permissions are set on the share but also at ACL level.

do you have it mapped to a drive letter and already logged into it?

No, it's a network location, no network drive as this comes with more advantages than drives. And everything else also works perfectly fine.

Maybe it also has issues with the dollar sign (as this is a hidden location)?

try creating a folder that's not hidden and try using that folder or try it again with the new Aurora version that was just released

Your account might not be the same as Aurora because Aurora runs elevated. This is quite important for network mapped drives. If you add them in Windows with your account, any elevated app don't see nor can access this drive. And it gets more complicated when it requires a user and password to access.

A quick way to test this is to run any program which can open files like a text editor as admin and then when the file dialog is opened enter %USERPROFILE%\Documents into the address bar and hit return.

A dollar sign shouldn't matter. As long as the path is valid for Windows it also should be for Aurora.

I beg to disagree in parts on this matter.
Opening e.g. a powershell session (or notepad++) as admin and accessing either the folder you mentioned or my "documents folder" works like a charm.

But if I'm not mistaken there has to be a certain way on how to "impersonate" a specific user when opening a program as admin (especially with this session 0 issue MS denied in newer Windows versions but which should only matter when trying to run programs as a service).
As I'm not a developer I can't really give you more information on this but I know it has been an issue for many programs but should be resolveable.

Is it possible to test manually if Aurora is able to access the folder?

By the way, I've tried it with the newest version 1.9.1 with the same error.

    Edit:

Actuall in Settings at "Standalone Trainers" I could open a dialog windows to choose a folder and could access my documents folder. Also creating a TXT file in that dialog box worked.
BUT: I could NOT see the TXT file which Aurora created in the dialog box (even after reopening it). But the files where created and I could access them via other possibilities.

    Edit2:
The files weren't visible even after a restart of Aurora.
The files had almost the same permissions as other except that my personal account wasn't added to the ACL. I think Aurora might not be able to use group permissions (as I'm also a member of a group which is added to the ACL) but only understands direct permissions?
