Steam Deck Discussion

Hello.

Hoping someone can help me as this is my final hurdle before I can ditch the windows install on my steamdeck for good.

I happily purchased the steam deck Aurora tool after wnating something like this for ages.

I got it installed no problem , managed to set it up and launch games using Aurora launcher.

I can start my game see aurora and the other one in the steam menu, but cant switch to my trainer at all in any game. Have enabled developer mode, and tried using it from desktop and game mode , and simply cant switch to the trainer.

Tried linking my Aurora mobile app to my steam deck aurora and that doesnt work either.

I've googled this to my wits end and just see people saying to enable steam developer mode and thats it.

Would love to be able to use the program I purchased and ditch windows for once and for all.

Can you confirm you are running the game in WINDOWED or BORDERLESS WINDOWED mode and not FULL SCREEN? This is the common culprit.

Also, many people are using the mobile app successfully with Aurora on the SD to activate the cheats, not sure why not working for you unless you have a firewall or something blocking the incoming connection.

I have tried running the games in borderless windowed and windowed. Same result.

Funny thing is if i put windows on my deck , or even my laptop the mobile app works fine. Same network.

The main game I tested the tool in was cyberpunk as im currently playing that and I couldnt get the windows to switch at all.

I even tried putting steam into developer mode and beta mode.

Can you try a couple of other games and see if same result in windowed mode?

Doing that now just waiting for games to transfer for over , had to wipe and recover my steam deck again... will post results after.
