I am getting a java error trying to open Slay the Spire. Both with and without mods.
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

I am unsure where the log is stored and I cant copy the log out of the tool window. log.txt seems to have none of the information in it but times when I updated settings

I tested it myself and it's something on the SDT's end as STL works fine with it. I would try the Steam Tinker Launcher method if you want to use it ASAP.

After following the video instruction, for some reason I dont get a drop down menu under `Preferred Proton`. I've tried reinstalling and restarting the SD, but SDT is able to open up ProtonUp-Qt under the tools option. it just doesn't recognize any other protons that are installed. When I do launch a game though, SDT does show it's using proton 8.

@chang91: This is a bug. Maximize the window by clicking on ^ at the top right. Then you can see all the proton versions

If you open Aurora you can click on the avatar symbol at the top right and then open settings. Also if you open a trainer then there is a "trainer settings" tab page just where you switch between trainer and editor options

I just have the tool...... I have no other .exe or "Aurora"
From where can I open Aurora?

Not the steamdeck tool. In Aurora settings

Where're aurora settings? Is there a folder or something? I can't find it, I just found a json in a folder placed in home/deck/downloads/aurora/settings named "GlobalSettings", it's a .json
Then I found the "DisableAllTrainerHotkeys" and set from false to "true"
Is this the procedure you mean to do? By the way even with this it's not working, there's still the problem with trackpads, the cursor lags and barely move

Your problem was easily solved by opening the game in game mode, changing controller settings > Right trackpad to Mouse, go back up and click on edit layout and make sure right track pad click is set to Left mouse click. When you switch back to aurora window it should work. Now head back to desktop mode to play the game.

Also note my Mouse sensitivity is set to 300. My game is set to windowed in the games graphic settings. If your mouse lags, barely moves and flashes then it's because your game is not windowed.

Thank you for the tips, but it's not working on my steam deck. I assure you I did everything as you said but it's still not working. Still mouse barely moves, and game is -windowed

Can you screen shot the game settings? Adding "-windowed" command simply doesn't work for me anymore. Go to your graphics settings on xenoverse and make sure window is set to windowed and not fullscreen.

Having an issue with the native launcher - I'm running on Bazzite which is an immutable distro. I ran the installer and all of the files are installed in the correct place - however when I run the desktop file, it tries to install it again. My guess is because this is a Fedora Atomic style desktop, /home is symlinked to /var/home and the process shows different from the install directory. Check the log below. Am I missing something else? I guess for now I can continue to use Steam Tinker to run it, but I would like to use this as it's more streamlined.
