Aurora Bug Reports Discussion

I know, I have looked. I have seen the other forums posts about this.
I have seen the links to:

Thing is. It does not work. My adding back this to my W11 fails.

So now I am looking for a method to fix this, but posting here if someone feels to give hint to a method that may work. I will consult with the awesome people at elevenforums as well.

I'm sorry what does this have to do with an Aurora bug?

Are you using the correct [ url ] and [ /url ] parameters (without spaces??

Have you tried the good old control panel? Open start menu and type "control panel" to open it. See if you can install it this way.

@Ramsey2142: WMP Legacy is required for Aurora to play sound

The olde WMP is available through installation of Control Panel / Programs and Features / Turn Windows Features on and off / Media Features.

I went that way, removed it, and rebooted, to try to get it back. Normal procedure if a software installation breaks. But it did not help.

Then it is also available via W11 > Settings > System > Optional Features > Add optional Feature > Windows Media Player Legacy.
It shows as available, I check if for Install and so far all my 4 attempts, between reboots, have failed. Wait, last time it worked.

(I did of course check the system with a [SFC /scannow] and it actually repaired some. Maybe it helped.)

So lets see if it worked. Yes it did. Fixed.
