Please name the quest or site that you have to hack the Tech or requires the Hack Timer so I can attempt replicate this issue.

That is not what the function is for. You have to use SID for the Mini-game and that is what the function is for.

I have noticed that the "freeze hack timer" option has been removed from the trainer. I haven't encountered any issues with this option during gameplay. This option freezes the timer when using SID to hack control panels. I think some users are confusing this option with other in game events where a timer appears on screen under the objectives heading.
I encountered too many very rude and stark statements about it. We removed it so people can play the trainer without this useless option.
