I've tried using Cosmos, but when I isolate the number it doesn't change in game or reverts back to to original number when I click away. Any idea how to make it change in the game? Thanks!
are you sure you're finding the right value? And you did point cosmos at the game process, not the launcher process, right? Also, be sure when doing your 'next scan's, make sure its still set to 'exact value', cosmos has an annoying habit of changing to 'decreased by'
I do a search (for a float) for the number of an item I have in stock (say, 10 brown bess'). So i search 10, it'll find a couple hundred thousand results, I go into game and sell like 7 of them and do a next search for 3, buy them back to 10, do a next search for 10, then sell down to a different number from before like say 5, do a next search for 5, then buy back up to 10 again and do one more search and by now it should have isolated a single value. The game cant candle 64 bit values tho, so cap of what you can set things to is ~2 billion, higher than that the value goes negative.
You may find 2 values, not 1...as far as I can tell, the earlier address is the right one (for example, I just tested with 3pd galloper guns, got 2 values, the one starting with 1AAB is the right value, while the one I found starting with 1AF1 will reset if i change it. Your exact found addresses will vary.
It works for me my friend, IDK where you're going wrong but clearly you're making a mis-step somewhere along the way.
i do it on the market screen, and the value updates in game as soon as i change it in cosmos, but it really doesnt matter b/c i did reputation from the research screen by buying hurry ups, did the officers on the main map by recruiting units, etc.
Are you perhaps not running the game and/or cosmos as administrator? could maybe explain why the values dont stay changed for you?

I'll mess around with it some more. Hey, thanks for everyting so far!
Hi How can I change the officers because I am not finding them. Mostly because they stay as zero most of the time. Thanks
to be clear, I've figured out how to add the officers resource, not more commanding officers. To get more leaders you need to either build/upgrade schools or complete the research that comes up if youre out of commanders.
Modifying the resource is easy...just do a search for how many you have, then recruit a unit so the value of available officers decreases, search for new value, recruit or disband new units and next search as needed to find the value. Best done right at the start of the campaign because you start with some spare officers

Okay, tell me what step I'm missing because it simply will not work.
1. Open Cosmos as administrator
2. Run game as administrator
3. Find game in Cosmos
4. Load save
5. Go to market screen see 108 Brown Bess
6. Search Cosmos for 108 on first scan, exact value, float
7. Find a bunch of 108
8. Go to game, buy some Brown Bess
9. Search next scan for new number
10. Find single line with new number
11. Click on the line and change the number to say...5000
12. Click away and see number change in Cosmos....it is red
13. Go back to game....nothing
What am I mising?
