Here is the save I am trying to do it on, I tried it on two different computers with the same result.

Also if you activate the trainer before loading the game, it will crash with the Unity crash thing showing up, even without any options on.

Yes, but just having the trainer activated will crash the game it seems, what I am able to do is I can load the trainer after the save is up, then press escape to open the save menu, I can then edit gold, save and close the trainer and load that save. So the trainer itself does appear functional, but having it be activated for a few seconds while the game is running will crash it.

I don't know if its something in my save specificly
