you aren't using the launcher file?
Yes, I can confirm this, launching the game from STEAM application using "EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe" from CH does not load the game.
The trainer seems to work for EA Play application, not for STEAM (the trainer is for EA Play, it says so anyway).
I tried file an update request for Steam version of the game v2.1.5 (which is not updated since v1.6.0) but it only lets me select ORIGIN as game distribution.
Should I file a ticket request for a new platform (STEAM) anyway?

I suggest rather just use the EA app. Since it would start that one up anyways with this being an EA game.
No need to file update request or new platform request.

That would work, it's just that someone who has bought the steam version of the game would have to buy the EA App version as well.
Usually (but not always) cross-platform versions of the same game work with trainers for other platforms.
I think there are some security checks in STEAM App in this particular game. Probably Steam checks the EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe file if it's valid and that's why the game doesn't launch at all when this file is replaced with the CH version.
So Steam users I think that they need to file a ticket request for Steam to see if this can be solved.
I will follow this discussion and if we are led there, I will participate to this request.
