Mouse Over Inventory function doesn't work as intended. It does adjust the amount owned, but doesn't adjust the amount usable in IC which remains at the original value.
Either the function isn't working or clear instructions need to be added to the Readme.
The mouse over function works only on items that aren't treated as equipment.
So you can use it on magic clay or potions or other such items.
But it won't work on weapons and armor OR on ores, because in addition to being crafting material, they can be equipped as accessories.
For non-equipment, the game just tracks them as a total.
But for equipment, each piece is a unique item because of how the system tracks equips.
I do think that notice should be added to the Readme just to make it clear. Took me a second to figure it out myself.
Adding the lock function might help on Mouse Over Inventory function, because in order to use the edit, you have to do alt-esc. I think that's what's stopping the Mouse Over Inventory function from working right.
Thanks CH for all the hard work you do.

The mouse over inventory function works fine as long as the item you're trying to edit isn't equipment.
Which means it won't work on weapons, armor, accessories and ores. Because you can actually equip ores as accessories (for a tiny bonus). So the game treats them as unique individual items, rather than a basic stack that just tracks total amount.
So if you try to use the cheat on those, you might change the display number, but it won't spawn new items to bring you up to that amount. Which will end up screwing your game. So be careful.

will add this in next patch release.
Option is working as intended.
If too many people have issues or complain, we will simply remove it. Note you can always set it back to 1 any time if using higher number somehow 'creates issues' in the game.
Make sure to save often. I even added the allow saves option.
