The thing with that is we do not know the release of Delta. Also, you sadly can not buy the games separate which sucks. It is one giant collection.
You can buy the games separately but they are (in US) $20 for each game. You can buy the collection for (in US) $47, rn.
Plus to the other poster.. MGS△ being the 'superior' version with the way Konami puts forth the bare minimum effort toward their games these days, is for us to decide on delivery day. *Fingers Crossed*
I 100% agree with you, however are you aware of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater? It's a remake/remaster of MGS3. I am surprised to see so many people buying up MGS3 instead of waiting for the superior version.
...Just a thought: have you considered those same folks prolly are also going to (pre?)buy Delta?
"Superior" remains to be seen. The voice tracks (for BOTH games) are allegedly the same.
I downloaded all the games & content today. I looked VERY quickly at the "extra" dlc. From what I saw, it doesn't seem like "KoMoney" (Konami) REALLY put much effort into this "collection"...😔😔😔
Just my 2 sense...🤓💙🎮

You absolutely can buy it separately for $20. I have no interest in playing MGS1, maybe twin snakes, but not the original, that is why I bought MGS2 separately. I suspect Delta will come out on November 17th to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
@gummy, I assume fans of the franchise are educated on how to get access to their favorite games. By now money conscious fans who wanted to play the MGS3 have options available to them other than paying $20 USD for a steam version or the Vol1 of this collection. If one has access to it, why pay again and when delta version has been confirmed? Not judging, just making sure people are aware of their options.
