Because the game was released in a buggy mess. To the extent that they had to turn of cross play completely as it broke multiplayer. A week on from launch and while they have fixed a LOT of bugs its still far from a ready product.
Much as I love having trainers and you are always impressively fast at bring out new ones it might be worth putting this game on hold for a month or so.
They haven't stated this but I think they are using PC players to "test" their patches (one completely broke levelling up recently causing you to lose all your levels and had to be hot fixed). Once the PC game is in a stable state and they will patch the console versions to catch up and finally turn cross play back on. I would suggest that would be the best time to get a trainer that should last longer without constant patches.

I fail to see that as a negative. They are obviously very dedicated to squash any bugs that pop up. I would love to see even a fracture of that energy from other companies ...

You fail to see paying money to the game devs so that you can "test" their game and find all the bugs that they never found internally as a negative? Would you see it as a positive if you bought a car and they told you to bring it back into the dealership multiple times per day, every single day after you bought it, indefinitely, so they can tweak this or fix that?
The point that Caliber is trying to make is that this is NOT an "early access" game. It's a $70 AAA game that should not be riddled with so many bugs that it requires this number of daily patches after release.
