Reason: no sound or audio from aurora
    Version of Aurora: latest 1.8.0
Subject in Short: no sound can be heard from Aurora - activation or function used - nothing.

    Full Details:
I followed every step I could find:
checked any software I need - media player etc is installed.
in settings, I see start muted as false
reinstalled and was muted, so I went in settings, volume set to 100. Tested male and female - no sound.
the mp3 file play in media player
using win11 with all updates there are atm.
everything works fine on the laptop

reinstalling - i searched and found ALL folders named "Aurora" in all drives and hidden folders I could think of. I could have missed something it seems or I don't know what I might be doing wrong

    Thanks!

Check "Audio mixer" in Windows if Aurora is muted
Try running windows troubleshooting for audio

And by "media player" you mean the "Windows Media Player" is that correct? Because that's necessary. And if you're using a Windows N edition you must also install "Media Feature Pack". Also check your audio devices and deactivate or unplug all you're not using.

    Otherwise no idea

I presume I am not alone in this, but even without thinking I replace everything MS, with a different one I prefer. While I DO have Media Player, it was not the MS Windows Media Player, which got me very confused (shh, between us...for over a year).

I entered in Add/Remove Windows features and added WMP - everything works as normal again!

    THANK YOU 0x90 🙂🙂🙂
