Aurora Features Requests Discussion

For some games with many features, it's easiest to see all options at a glance (for instance on a second monitor) with the XXS view.

The one struggle I have with XXS is that it's all in one column and the font gets significantly smaller the more cheats are added to the game.

Maybe the option to configure additional columns or a maximum column size in XXS view would be helpful in allowing for more horizontal screen space to be used instead of making XXS view a very tall yet thin readout of all the cheats for a game? I would definitely utilize more horizontal space if I could.

while your request makes sense for for example Starfield, it ruins the layout for other trainers with less options. And this is due to technical limitations.

I'm unable to make a view where all available space is used (vertical and horizontal) but vertical first, only if that isn't enough horizontal and only if both isn't enough THEN it gets shrunk until it fits.

Its always that something kicks in first. Like I can make a view with more columns but it has to be a fixed amount of columns. OR I can make it with dynamic amount of columns (add another column of vertical space is not enough) but then only without shrinking. Which in case of Starfield trainer would be necessary.

As of now I dont really have a good solution for this problem.

I understand that this is a tall ask. Perhaps implementing a two-column and three-column version of XXS view would be enough for usability, since it would preserve the shrinking functionality as well as utilize more horizontal space.

It'd be a REALLY hefty trainer to need more than three dynamically sized columns of options, I think. Even Starfield's XXS view would be radically improved by just two columns to work with instead of one column of super-fine-print.

Just ideas I was throwing out to improve user-end usability, I have no idea how any of that programming works but I appreciate you taking the time to respond with your take on how you'd have to work around it.

Even Starfield doesn't need 3 columns, unless you have Aurora window size with a very small height and a very large width.

In next PREVIEW of Aurora the XXS mode will automatically switch to 2 columns depending on amount of trainer options and your window size. During my tests this seems to work better than I thought but I would appreciate hearing some feedback once its posted.

I must say I LOVE the new layout for XXS. It works perfectly for me on Starfield. Thanks for the hard work!

Still needs some work for a trainer like BG3. Screenshot attached. Cyberpunk 2077 and Hitman 3 look fine.

Maybe the new layout only affects the TRAINER portion and not the EDITOR?

Pwizard is right
