Hi Wonderloaf.
What exactly are you trying to do?
Ship design error options deals with those red warnings when building. Like having to few landing gears or unattached modules etc.
Limits is something else, and that is in the editor part of the trainer.
Ahh, that explains it - I wanted to add more engines than permitted.
I haven't been able to get the skills option to work. Using Steam on Windows 11. The "A" button to unlock is not an option. I'd appreciate any help, probably doing something wrong as this is an awesome trainer in all other aspects!
Your wording is a bit confusing to me and I'm not sure what options you are trying to use and to what effect.
There are two options in the trainer specifically regarding character skills.
- Easy Skill Rank Up Completed Challenges
With this turned on, when you go into the skill tree, it allows you to bypass the challenge requirements to rank up each skill. You still need available skill points to spend to either unlock the skill for the first time, or to rank up. This option is really only to be used if you don't want to complete the challenge requirements.
If you are out of skill points from normal xp progression, you will need to use the Editor part of the trainer on the left side menu. Just enter the desired amount of skill points in the entry box(I recommend using the number row keys on your keyboard instead of numpad, as those are all assigned other options and you could inadvertently turn them on/off). You can alter the amount of skill points at any time, even while in the skill tree and it should refresh when you tab back to the game.
As for your "A" button to unlock is not an option", I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Are you using a controller to play the game? Are you trying to assign a controller button as a hotkey for the skill option? I don't use a controller to play and even so, I don't think that option has a mapping for a controller. The default option for the A button is Unlimited Ship Weapons Energy.

While your intent is appreciated, you are not a trainer maker at our site and we are not going to add whatever your mind comes up with on any given day just because you provide us some code. In the future, please reserve these types of posts for a PM to the trainer maker and then they can decide what to do with it.
If i had the option to place that note somewhere less public like as a note under the suggestion, i would have.
It's not a lack of trying, and I was just trying to be informative of the fact that this is a tested and trailed function.
Whether you add this is still verry much op to the individual developer, As stated if i had the option to put the code somewhere diffrent then open and public in the forum post, thats exactly what i would have done since that is what I would prefer.
That is why I recommended sending via PM to the trainer maker.
