Is it possible that the trainer is causing the game to be very unstable?
I get random crashes. Sometimes after 3 minutes, sometimes after 20. But I don't think I've ever played more than an hour without a crash.

First I thought it was the unstability of Bethesda releases, but reading the reviews and the community forums on Steam doesn't really make me feel it's their issue (if everyone would have a similar experience, the forums would be overflowing).

I only use the "unlimited weight" option in the trainer. And I've had these crashes since the start (before the patch, and after).

I get the same problem, but it's only when I'm on random planets/moons. I know it's the trainer as I've restarted the game but without trainer activation and I could walk around without a problem. But, once I activate the trainer and use even one cheat briefly, for example something as simple as Game Speed, within several minutes the game freezes.

We have had MANY others say they have played for 8+ hours using the trainer with NO CRASH. So until you can MAKE a crash happen by following a specific set of steps, there is nothing we can do. We can't just randomly play for hours on end hoping for some crash to happen on the one of bazillion things you can do in this game. Please understand you are CHEATING the game and making it do things that were not intended by the game devs and that were not tested for in their QA process. If the trainer is causing such a huge problem, just stick with the in-game cheat/console codes.

I have to agree with PWizard.
I have used the trainer this evening for several hours, and in fact over the 80hrs played in the game so far, not a single crash attributable to the trainer. Only one crash, and I wasn't using the trainer at the time!

OK. Not sure if I already reposted this and it was deleted or if I forgot torepost this so giving you guys the benefit of the doubt and assuming it was my brain issue.

    Here goes.

There seems to be a problem with the jetpack boost.
It has been around since the jetpack boost was available.
Using my save file, this is how to create it.
    1. keep the cheat off to see normal behavior.
    2. You should be facing an engine. Move forward and jump while continuing to press forward. Keep boosting as much as possible. You should be able to land on the ship.
    3. turn the cheat on and repeat step 2.

I "think" what is happening is that without the trainer, the game uses the fuel to boost. So your fuel goes from 100 to 0 on the first boost, recharges as you fall, and then lets you boost again. Eventually, it runs out of boost.
With the cheat on I think you get your initial jump but since it looks like the fuel is pinned at 100 it never actually uses it to boost to its full potential.
This is why without the cheat you can make it to the ship but with the cheat, you don't actually boost enough.

I, and others, have made them aware. They're gonna have Cal look at possible fixes, if there are any. This could be one of those things where the game just isn't programmed to be cheated like this. There's an issue with the Unlimited Ability Powers cheat where if you have it on when asked to demonstrate a power in front of someone it won't trigger the quest, possibly also because of the lack of decrease in the bar. The powers otherwise function (mostly) correctly with the option on. Thought you'd like to know that they're aware of the issue though.

I'm Neurodivergent, unless explicit, please don't assume the nature of my posts. Text tone is hard, probly didn't mean it that way.

The only crash I can attribute to the trainer is using the increase game speed option. The enigne Bethesda uses is not meant to have a lot of physics updates. There is a reason the older games are locked at 60fps. This is a Bethesda game it works for the most part if you don't change the settings, by using the trainer you're altering the game enough to maybe crash. This is also true of mods. Welcome to Bethesda games.

Relax, I'm aware that a trainer alters the memory addresses of a game and changes things. Given what another user has commented about, I can only hypothesize that it might be due to me having a ship that shouldn't be allowed to exist (extra reactor, shield, engines, and weapons) and it causes a conflict when I'm on random planets, even if all I'm using is the Infinite Oxygen cheat or No Reload cheat. I'll see about using a normal ship and traversing the same planet or moon that would normally freeze after a bit and see if that is the issue.
