I am unsure if this is a bug or flow-on from having the following active when picking them up.

items weigh nothing.
lucky dice
unlimited use items.
and I toggle it on and off for unlimited moves and attacks.

The extra tadpoles I have found disappear once they hit my bags. I do not get to use them they are not counted anywhere they are just gone.

The ones I had once I unlocked the options to use them also vanished.

Not sure what is going on.

Ok worked it out. this is a little annoying nothing to do with the trainer thanks, guys.

When I run:
god mode
items weigh nothing
lucky dice
AND
unlimited moves and attacks

. . . I get the same result. These are almost the same options as you're running.

In my case turning off unlimted moves and attacks solves the problem. I can then pick up the tadpoles and they get added correctly. Likewise I need to turn off the same option when trying to use the tadpoles.

Try disabling unlimited use and unlimited moves before picking up/using tadpoles.

NB: And remember that tadpoles don't get added to inventory, but will show in the upper right corner or in the Illithid Powers menu (hotkey B).
