Any way I can finagle it into giving me more worms for the ithilid powers?

    What are ithilid powers?
    What worms?
Do you have a save with 2 or more worms?
Where do you hold the worms?
Where do you turn the worms in?
    Do you have saves?

I have 3 at the moment, they're a lootable item but they're not treated as such in the inventory sadly. They basically give you special powers.

It's fine if it isn't possible, it seems awkward tbh with it not being an actual item in your inventory.

Illithid powers is a skill tree unlocked after you get further in the game. The worms mentioned are the mind flayer parasite item that you can consume to gain a skill point to spend on the illithid powers skill tree. Having 2 or more of the parasites in your inventory at the same time is not possible since after consuming the first one the game automatically uses any more you pick up. A work around for this would be to allow editing the number of skill points available directly instead of changing the amount of the parasite item. I have submitted an option request for this along with a save file that has 4 illithid skill points.

Of course! It doesn't bother me, I just wanted to help out finding out the issue 🙂

    Thanks Cal!

BTW, I have been a lifetime member for ages - can't remember how long! - after all the work you've put on this and the others, a plus sub is incoming any day now. Thanks for all your work!

Sorry if this has already been addressed and/or fixed. People who are experiencing fails with die rolls of 50+, it is most likely a case of a classic bit flip problem, which happens when increasing base numbers. The last bit or 0 might be a signed bit, so if you have maxed your stats out and your stats push the 0 to a 1, it would turn the number to a negative and automatically lose on the comparison operands.
The best for an immediate fix for failing dice rolls when you look like you should be winning, check your stats and kick them back to a non-maxed-out level. With all the math going on in the game and pointers going this way and that, until the game has been out for a while, the most minimal tweaks are probably safest to prevent mechanics from acting in an unintended way, that you are already trying to make act in a different unintended way. That might be why they never included a console cheat system with the game.

Worms are the 'Illthid potential' I put in an option request for a day or so ago - included a save where you can see this.

Happy to look at providing another save or more details about how to see/use if that's helpful.

This is also the the 'loot' that's bugged (worms increase Illithid Potential automatically when picked up after unlock) with the unlimited attacks option, but as you've said there's already a simple solution for that by toggling it off.

So what I've figured out for the illithid slug in a jar is to loot the body so their inventory shows up, then open your inventory and drag it over, works perfectly everytime.

Even without the trainer on I notice it happen a couple of times, but doing the inventory drag seemed to just work.

I've actually started a new play through got 5 in my inventory so far with the trainer options on.

Remember back in the day when a game would be released and then over a year or so would get only a few patches if any...? those were the days.

I feel so bad for the folks who toil almost endlessly over making trainers. Ya take this game which has already a good amount of trainers over the last few days because of all the patches, now ya add in the other new release games who are doing the same thing PLUS all the older games the folks here continue to support... good god... mad respect and sympathy.

I couldnt do it if i was in their position, i would just throw my hands up and say "I wash my hands of this game, once the game is 'Dead' and the devs stop making patches for it then and only THEN will i make a trainer for it."

The fact that these folks here fight the good fight before shelving games shows their dedication to their work.
    Keeping sarcasm stylish since 1981.
