Hold down CTRL when selecting the trainer. Should bring up the menu again.
This worked, thank you, and can confirm the Steam labeled trainer activates on the Gog version of the game. Thank you both for the help.
I was sure I attached a savegame, must not have done it right, here's a zipped SvG right at having to do a dice action.
I need the entire folder its in, not just the .lsv file and there is usually 2 files, maybe a WebP file or something.

The stat editor doesn't work for me at all and yes im following the instructions correctly however when i save my file it doesn't even populate with the correct character names or values.
Select your character, do a quick save, switch to editor, change your stats but don't enable any of the trainer options, keep them disabled, then do another quick save and load that save.
I realize this may sound like a broken record, but the stat editing is also not working for me. I have followed the instructions exactly, but the stats and correct character don't seem to want to appear. See attached screenshot. Wyll is not in my party, the stats are all in the single digits, and there are unknown characters in the name field.
Steps taken:
-First save game (tried using both quick save and hard save through the menu with the same result)
-Stats appear in the editor, but appear incorrect with the incorrect character
In the screenshot, Wyll is listed as Player Slot 1, but he is not even in my party. Scrolling down, Gale is listed as Player Slot 2, but he's perma dead in my save.
I'm playing in the DX11 version, ver. 4.1.1.3622274. I'm playing via Steam and using the Steam version of the trainer. I can post a save game in another reply if you need it.
Edit: I am making sure to select my character portrait on the left side of the screen prior to saving. It also appears that my screenshot didn't upload as an attachment
