Is it able to be played OFFLINE? and BY YOURSELF?

This is the blurb from the store page:

"The only RPG where your characters keep grinding while you're gone! Specialize them into unique classes & skill trees, and spend their loot to gain more power! Defeating World Bosses unlocks new gameplay features -- IdleOn gets MORE complex the more you play!"

I would say that the important phrase here is "keep grinding while you're gone" that would suggest a persistent world, and no offline play.

it's online only, there is no offline capabilities and it is a form of a MMO due to seeing other players while active.

i started game, unplugged internet, and you can still kill stuff, collect coins, etc.
However, I did just about every kind of search I could try but could not isolate any values
