So, I think the reason that the game still crashes for me when trying to use the "refresh Inventory Editor" option is that my inventory space has expanded beyond what the trainer is looking for. During the progression of the game there are multiple upgrades to personal inventory space that take it beyond the 56 inventory slots currently accounted for by the trainer. I can provide my latest save which has an inventory space up to 384 if needed. Also, that appears to be the max inventory spaces in-game for now as I do not see any more inventory updates in the tech tree.

Edit #1 - Forgot to mention, I tried emptying out all of my inventory and the game still crashes, so that is why I think it is the number of slots and not the content of the slots

Can confirm it is inventory size related, I went to tech tree and disabled I pack size upgrades saved reload and inventory slots were able to be edited.
