Sounds you have a slight bug with the trainer. I suggest you make an update request so we can look at this and fix it.

Trainer no longer activates with today's Steam version 1.0.3 (missing aob). I've submitted a version update report,
just posting here for others - no, it's not just you.

For anyone that doesn't want to wait for trainer update, follow these steps:

Right click on the game in your steam library>Properties>Betas>Beta Participation> go back to version 1.0.2. Trainser should work again.

Good point Vaper5. But for now the good folks at CH have already updated for 1.0.3 today, everything is good!

The unlimited charge cheat doesn't seem to be working when playing as Rean. It worked fine when playing a Lloyd. Am I missing something?

If I was to guess something, I would say maybe the code was made and tested on only one character.
So my suggest is to post you save game and file an update request so it can be noticed.
