I went through fits trying to get this to work for me on Windows 10 Pro, so here's the procedure that actually worked for me. YMMV.
1. Download the .zip 2. Extract the entire .zip to a folder where you want the editor itself to live. 3. Open the start menu and search for "CMD" 4. Right-click cmd.exe and choose "run as administrator."
Then type in the following commands; substitute C:\GOG Games\Arcanum\arceditor1_8\ with the path of the folder where the trainer and its .ocx and .dll files are: regsvr32 "C:\GOG Games\Arcanum\arceditor1_8\mscomct2.ocx" regsver32 "C:\GOG Games\Arcanum\arceditor1_8\msstdfmt.dll" regsvr32 "C:\GOG Games\Arcanum\arceditor1_8\richtx32.ocx" regsvr32 "C:\GOG Games\Arcanum\arceditor1_8\comdlg32.ocx"
Again, the editor and files do not need to be in your Arcanum install directory (though there's no reason not to).
As a side note, trying to register RICHED32.DLL didn't work for me, but the trainer runs anyway.
In humanity's defense, we have been left unsupervised.
