Concerning the "Reset Game Time" option, I too had issues.
What seems to cause the problem however, is using the option too quickly.

What works for me is to enter the pause screen with ESC. Press F1 to activate the reset, then exit out of the menu with ESC. Now the important part seems to be waiting for at least 2-3 seconds before you press F1 again to disable the trainer option. After waiting and disabling the option, and re-entering the pause menu, the timer is now at zero.

I hope this can help someone else. I have tried this today with the latest DLL installed from GitHub as of today as well.

Is there a trick with Reset Game time. It didn't work for me. I just completed a play through on a hardcore chapter. I followed the instructions. I would Press F1 do what I need. Before completing the Chapter I would Press F1 again. See that my time returned to normal. Wait a 15 to 20 minutes and finish the chapter. However in Chapter results it would show 999:59:59 for the Final chapter score. Also "Super Damage" is still buggy. Enemies seem to become invulnerable to damage.

This information goes out to anyone having the issue where "reset play time" is causing their time to read as "999:59:59."

I can confirm, conclusively, that what is happening is that your play time is being paused while the "cheat" is activated. Even if the chapter time also reads as 999:59:59 when you complete multiple chapters, everything is ok. The only thing that matters is that you leave "reset play time" on while you play through the story, and turn the it off right before the end of the game. (For example: I turned it off before getting on the jet ski.) By doing this, my completion time was listed as the total time when I didn't have the cheat activated. (For me it was 03:40:41.)

As a result, I received the achievement and associated unlocks as if I had beaten the campaign in less than 4 hours.

So for everyone who is concerned. Relax. Perceptions can be deceiving, but I can confirm that the cheat is working in this way and will accomplish the objective most of us are seeking.

Thanks again to Caliber and anyone who helped him get this trainer functional (including the maker of the DLL file) despite the anti-cheat (in a single-player game ffs) and general unfriendlyness of the gaming coding. Hats off to ya.

That's not the case for me. I'm currently doing the Valley area mission after you meet the merchant for the first time, I saved my game with "Reset Play Time" disabled. I get to the little village with the gear needed to progress. I paused my game hit enabled "Reset Play Time" did the mission. Came back to the merchant. Paused game, Disabled "Reset Play Time". Un-paused game. Paused game again to see "999:59:59" with cheat off. Created another save. So I wouldn't loose my default save. As that save shows correct time. Closed my game and Aurora. Reopened game. Loaded back in, to see current time of "999:59:59".

I started a new game to test the option in several ways and it showed 999 hours at the start of chapter 1 after disabling the option as well

Not sure why "Reset Play Time" is adding 1000 hours of play time when enabled, and staying enabled after being disabled. It must be a bug. As I uninstalled/deleted Aurora and the dinput8.dll and re-downloaded todays current versions or both files. Restarted PC and it's still doing it sadly.

Question? Why is this game listed as Resident Evil 4 (2022), when it released in 2023?

I understand this type of stuff can be buggy and problematic. That's why we report the bugs. Keep up the good work CH Team!

it is listed as 20222 because it was originally supposed to be released last year and if they rename it to 2023 it would mess up the links for example so they just left it that way
