That's not the case for me. I'm currently doing the mission after you meet the merchant for the first time, I saved my game with "Reset Play Time" disabled. I get to the little village with the gear needed to progress. I paused my game hit enabled "Reset Play Time" did the mission. Came back to the merchant. Paused game, Disabled "Reset Play Time". Un-paused game. Paused game again to see "999:59:59" with cheat off. Created another save. So I wouldn't loose my default save. As that save shows correct time. Closed my game and Aurora. Reopened game. Loaded back in, to see current time of "999:59:59".
I started a new game to test the option in several ways and it showed 999 hours at the start of chapter 1 after disabling the option as well

Not sure why "Reset Play Time" is adding 1000 hours of play time when enabled, and staying enabled after being disabled. It must be a bug. As I uninstalled/deleted Aurora and the dinput8.dll and re-downloaded todays current versions or both files. Restarted PC and it's still doing it sadly.
Question? Why is this game listed as Resident Evil 4 (2022), when it released in 2023?
I understand this type of stuff can be buggy and problematic. That's why we report the bugs. Keep up the good work CH Team!

it is listed as 20222 because it was originally supposed to be released last year and if they rename it to 2023 it would mess up the links for example so they just left it that way
