Aurora Features Requests Discussion

This change is HORRIBLE! I set my keyboard to a specific color layout and after this change EVERY Key unused by the trainer is either unlit (unused key color left blank) or the entire rest of the keyboard gets overwritten by one color. For now I have to switch off the feature. Please make the "unused key color" setting optional or revert the change.

The way it worked before was that unused keys get unlit. This is the reason someone requested to add "unused" keys as well. If you say that keys get unlit if you leave the field blank, then it is just like before. What am I missing?

I'm absolutely sure before the change only the keys the trainer uses where overwritten by the given colorvalue at least on my logitech keyboard (also G915) and on my system
Now every key gots overwritten.
I never had the issue other keys would be turned off and I'm quite puzzled why in my case this should have worked like most people would expect it to behave but in others not?!

I have a G910 and I just tested it by reverting the change. All keys get unlit except trainer hotkeys. This is how it was before (on G910). The user which requested this feature also has a G910. It could be that your G915 behave differently. Considering that clearing the field has the same outcome as before on the G910, I could change it the way that if you clear the field it just do nothing to unused keys. This wouldn't change how it works on my end but "revert" it for you.

For me too, before the update, only the keys used by the trainers were changed, the unused keys kept the lighting that I had defined, now the unused keys are all the same color, and if I clears the box to set the color, the keys are just off.
I tried with another keyboard (corsair) and a third-party application that transmits Logitech color effects on it, for him too I had no problem before, and now he too has the unused keys of the same color or off if I empty the settings box

This would be great @clearing the field to get the old behaviour back.
I thought for a moment if it might have to do with the fact I also saved the colortheme into the nonvolatile memory on the keyboard itself, but this wouldn't make sense. I guess Logitech's API indeed behaves different on various products which sucks but is somehow typical Logitech. -.-
