Did you try deleting the folder c:\users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\Aurora ??

In Aurora, when selecting the version of the trainer you'd like to play, if at some point you clicked "remember my choice", you can reset this by holding shift while clicking on the title, it will then ask you again which platform you'd like to run it on. Steam and Gamepass versions have different .exe files it loads, hence why the steam version will not detect a gamepass game, even if loaded via steam app.
It's asking me every time, and every time I click GamePass I end up with Steam

I did, it still loads Steam trainer on GamePass selection.
No idea then, works perfect here.
Not sure why but it worked just now.
I used Search Recent
I selected one found game
selected GP platform
trainer showed up, I click Use Trainer
select platform again - got Steam,
I figured I would record so I Alt+F9 and while recording repeated steps and it loaded correct trainer. Bizarre.
