I had been bypassing the Launcher to play the game, but trying to use the trainer today, when I hit F1 to enable it, the game would crash. I re-enabled the Launcher, it updated, and now when I try to launch the game, it errors out saying:
A program used for game exploitation has been detected running on this machine.
Please close the program and restart the game.
For technical assistance please visit support.2k.com
If I launch the game, and then Aurora, the game crashes almost immediately (before I even get a chance to activate the trainer).

I'm experiencing the SAME EXACT thing
Here's the demonstration of the trainer's functionality on both platforms with the latest version and the new dlc:

I didn't even disable the 2k launcher yet everything's still perfectly functional no crashes or detection messages.
I got nothing special on my pc such as stupid 3rd part security measures installed, both game and aurora's folders are added to the exclusion list of the windows defender and uac is disabled.

I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I am using the Steam version, and in your video you're using the Epic version....
(edited) And then I fast-forwarded to the part where you use the Steam version....
