I can't switch windows from Aurora to the game I'm playing on Steam Deck in Gaming Mode. Window is still stuck to Aurora even when I try to switch window to the game in steam deck menu. Already tried with different games. I only have this issue in gaming mode, Aurora is working fine in desktop mode
Can you provide the list of games you tried?
When you click on the steam button, do the different game screens show up?
Games I tried:
Baldur's Gate 3
Halls of Torment
Trails from Zero
Dave the Diver
When I click the Steam button, I have the option to switch windows between Aurora and the game. When I try to switch window to the game, I still see Aurora window still on top but the game already responding to controls. I tried minimize to tray, it works but Aurora window comes back after a few seconds.

Sorry I don't own the games you tried nor have I ran into your issue. So did a quick search and saw a user having the same problem, he just played in desktop and never came with a resolution. Another user stated enabling developer, I would check and see if that's enabled in your settings.
Edit: Just disabled my Developer mode and gave me your exact issue, It wasnt switching then I got it to switch but then Aurora popped up again shortly after. Enabling it again solved my issue.

One thing that might be worth trying is enabling developer mode in the settings. I recall that being helpful for some people who had issues swapping between windows in game mode.
Whenever I click save and play, all the games crash. I followed every instruction shown on youtube channel. Restarting steam does not work either. Pleae help.
I tried with Baldur's Gate 3, witcher 3, cyber punk, scarlet nexus, Gta 5. red dead redemption 2, marvel spiderman's miles morales / remastered etc. Basically all AAA titles

Sorry I try to check this every day but somehow I missed it on aug 26th. I've never ran into this issue. Have you tried on desktop mode as well? Have you uninstalled STL and reinstalled it? Only reason I would think it would crash is if there's something using up all your memory forcing the deck to close all software. I would also do an initial boot of the game prior to the addition of STL. On STL on the game menu screen I would scroll down to where it says Proton and make sure the latest proton is being used(this tends to default to a previous version for me, it probably does for you too.)
Is there a way around using aurora for ubisoft games. Whenever I try to use aurora on ubisoft games I get this error. Ubisoft Connect has detected an unrecoverable error and must shut down.” it will not let me do anything.
HI DamianBlack. On the FAQ i got a lazily written method to use Aurora with Ubisoft. I can go more in depth if you need me to. I will say you need to use the nonsteamlaunchers github. Can you tell me what game you are trying to run? If I own it I will try it and see if I get the same.
