Do you have an offline key from your computer in Aurora folder in Steamdeck? Or are you trying to use any offline key feature? Because that's not supported.
If not, try a different proton version

Was not trying any offline anything but I changed proton to 8 and works but i dont know if it is forking correctly. Usually ill get a seperate page to pop up for aurora but it runs overlapping the game, so trainer pops up and works, but can not get to the game, even though I can hear it running in the background. I have to close aurora itself to see the game. Even running it to the mobile app, it forces the trainer on top of the game over and over. And thats for game mode. In desktop mode i can at least work around it by windowing the game to switch applications.

That's a known issue of Proton. You must run the game in window or borderless mode

Thank you for the replies, the overlapping is only affecting My time in Sandrock so I can live running it in desktop mode. The proton version change fixed everything else though so thanks.

Hi I just got my steam deck oled and I’m doing my best to follow the directions for installing aurora onto it but I do not have an option to install the steam tinker launch.

Question for the community! I have a few older games I'm playing on my Steam Deck, and the trainers are the type you have to download to use. They are working just fine when I open them on my desktop, but on the Steam Deck I just can't get it working, no matter what I try. The trainers that activate through Aurora all work just fine, and I'm not trying to operate offline - I'm fully connected to the internet, so I'm not sure why they aren't working. Is it just that the standalone trainers don't work at all on Steam Deck right now, or am I doing something wrong somewhere - which isn't out of the question. I know enough to be able to follow detailed instructions, but I have no idea what I'm actually doing. I do have the separate Steam Deck tool purchased/installed if that helps.
