@contorlent: Can you uninstall Proton 6.3 (and anything which is lower than Proton 8.0) from your steam library and then delete compat folder (which is essential). So the first game initialization is launched with a higher proton version.

This could be the problem as I dont have such a low Proton version installed. Also do you have any other tools installed like Decky?

If nothing helps I simply revert what I did on 1.9 and let Aurora launcher use the latest Proton version instead of lowest (which is what <=1.8 did)

I still had an old SD-Tool version 1.3.0.0 that I installed and lo and behold, the keys work as they should. 😀

So lastnight I did the deleting all the compdata folders for the games and used all types of proton versions on each start up. All out comes came to be the same results of when the sd tool starting up fine and game running fine till aurora launcher popped up then all inputs stopped working except keyboard and mouse. So I decided to run the games through STL with aurora and the controls work fine. Even got the message on the aurora launcher that controller detected which didn’t happen with sd tool launcher starting it up. Not sure if this helps but it works fine with stl with aurora forked in but when launched with sd tool it just doesn’t register a controller or detect it at all

Hi, I have a problem with aurora tool for steam deck. Basically when I start the game aurora opens and then I can't use the trackpads to type on aurora menu. I already set the trackpads as mouse, but no luck. The cursor still lag on the screen and stay still. and trying to do it with touch is too bugged

Also, the game I'm trying to play with aurora is Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Everything works fine at the very beginning, it take a while to open. Once started I can hear the soundtrack of the game but I'm stuck on aurora page as I can't use the trackpad to navigate and activate the trainer

Now that you mention the message on Aurora about controller detected I've checked it myself and I can confirm the message does not appear. HOWEVER I then switched to STL on the same game and ran it and the message does also not appear. I also tried older versions of our SD launcher on this game like 1.6.0 and its the same.

On another game with our SD launcher (2.0.0) the message DOES appear. This is really weird to be honest

Edit: I just installed a new game and I do get the "controller connected" message in Aurora there too. But I dont get this on a specific game even with STL.
