Does anybody know why on certain games Aurora opens up fine but then you're not allowed to click anywhere? No matter where you click no cursor shows up and you can't click anything to open it up.
I tried both the steamtinker and new Aurora launcher beta and this only happens with certain games.
It has something to do with the game hogging all the mouse input. The way Game Mode works is it has Aurora window overlaid on top of the game window. The way around this was to use the command ~windowed and it would run the game separately so both windows have their own input. Something on Steams end happened and the ~windowed command no longer works.
But all these games should work once you run them in desktop mode.
Thanks for testing. We MIGHT add something to next version which MIGHT makes it to work. The official answer is however the same: We only support Steamdeck. And this is only because we cannot install and run other Linux distributions. So MAYBE next version will work for you (or not) and if then maybe at some day it might not (or it might still work). Keep it in mind when you consider purchasing it. I really dont want to hear complaints like "but you did this and that previously and I thought it would be supported and now it does not so **** you". We try our best to make sure everything work flawless but due to limited man power and time we cannot guarantee you that it will (for)ever work on classic Linux distributions. Or focus is on Steamdeck only,
If you end up making it available, you can just do what every other SteamDeck software dev does, they give a disclaimer saying running on non-SteamOS Arch is "experimental and unsupported" (just to cover their bases), in reality though, every issue that would be on Arch will also be on the SteamDeck and vice versa.
That way, no one can expect or demand support unless they are on SD, but they can still enjoy the product if they are on any Arch-based distro! It's a win for everyone involved 🙂
I'm actually working on something about that for the new Aurora launcher tool. Can you tell me the name of the games where this happens then I test my new options.
Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteous is definitely a game that has this problem and I believe Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

Well then I have good news for you. I tested it on latest Steamdeck Tool 1.3.0 with "force Aurora to foreground and set focus" option enabled and it fixes the problem. Please give it a try

Do you happen to know which Preferred Proton you were using? It still not letting me click on anything when using that setting. Would you know the reason?
Were you doing it in Desktop or Game mode?
Edit: Got it to let me click activate trainer in desktop mode only but I got this error code (gold, Script error in line 3: Cannot find aob for 'originalcode_6547')

Hey everyone. I am not sure where I am going wrong but for some reason the Aurora screen will just not pop up for me on my steam deck. I have tried steam tinker and it says Aurora was forked and running. Even the steam deck helper says it is running but nothing pops up for me to sign in or run the trainer. Any tips? Thanks all!
Have you tried our custom SteamDeck tool/launcher?
