Which game? Which proton version?
GE-Proton8-25
Aurora 1.8.8
Pretty much every game I try has issues, most recently trying to play "Dave the Diver" causes everything to lock up. Tried "Captain of Industry" the other day, same thing.. locked up the game. Other games I've tried in the past have popped up "mono pipe" errors, that come up repeatedly until I reboot.
Never seen or heard of this behavior before. Have you made any changes to the Aurora settings like enabling ingame overlay perhaps?
It's why I took so long to make a post about it, I figured it was something I did. To my knowledge I have not changed anything, I started fresh, followed the guide to the letter and had no issues getting Aurora running, logged in, and the trainer setup and hooked up via the app. It's only when I try activating that I have issues.
I was reading a post the other day about getting We*** running on the SD and installing Mono was a requirement, because the proton implementation was missing... stuff. Should I give that a shot?
I figured out the game that gave the mono error, it was Stardew Valley. Activating the trainer spits out this:
Pipe is Broken.
at System.IO.Pipes.PipeStream.CheckWriteOperations()
at System.IO.Pipes.PipeStream.Wite(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, In32 count)
at CheatHappensDotNetHelper.DotNetPipe.WriteBytes(Byte[] bytes)

Sorry if this was handled before. I tried to search for it and read as much as possible here but I might have missed something in those 66 pages.
I´m running in a problem when trying to run CH on my Steamdeck with Doom Eternal.
I can see a flickering Aurora startup sequence but after about 1 or 2 seconds Doom Eternal shows up and loads normally. After it is up and in the main menu I try to switch to the Aurora task but it´s not showing up. It only showed up once and actually allowed me to add my login credentials. All further attempts look as described.
Everything was configured according to the video guide. I´m on the most recent version of SteamOS (beta channel) and tried different versions of Proton, up to the most recent 8.x release. Both in Desktop and Steam mode.
Aurora seems to start and be stuck in the back. If I end Doom Eternal it sometimes finally pops up into the foreground and I can actually configure stuff in it until it gets terminated.
Anyone any ideas what my problem could be?
Hi, Fusion. When you press the button to switch screens, or alt-tab, you see both screens, but when you try to click to aurora it wont come up, right? Or is it more like you press the button but it doesnt do anything? If so you need to make sure developer mode in enabled in the settings
Also, would recommend sticking with the stable channel and not doing beta steam os versions.
