@OpacoO: I dont think another Proton version will help you. The error log says that the game is 32bit and uses Unity engine. Due to Proton bug this is not supported and the trainer will fail. Unfortunately there is nothing you nor we can do.

    @0x90 and @PWizard

Thank you for replying to my topic and sorry it was in the wrong place.

I will give this a try now, would you advise I remove COSMOS/AURORA/PROTON QT from my SteamDeck and start fresh or do they have an auto updater feature within them.

Sorry to sound dumb but it has been ages since I touched my Steam Deck and forgotten pretty much where to find/run most things.

I find its OS a ball ache trying to navigate and actually find its true installation location of apps as it seems it clones apps rather than simply creating a shortcut from your Desktop to the actual application (like Windows OS).

I didnt think of creating directory shortcuts so I could go directly to where I need within Desktop Mode, whereas in FileZilla I added multiple connections to go where I need to go.

And I could be wrong, but seems Steam Deck has had some sort of update that now has a directory I have never noticed before when trying to find executable files, if its a FlatPak for certain, now seems to default to:
    /run/user/1000/doc/bunchofumbers

Regardless if I manually navigate to this for example:
    /var/lib/flatpak/app/org.ryujinx.Ryujinx/x86_64/stable/23e56d2874c2060dbd73d38c2fc788d47ed761c3a39e28b08b5809f36beb112c/export/bin/

This however is with Steam Rom Manager which isnt exactly related to COSMOS, but I am fearing if I try alter boot settings or whatever it is with PROTON QT, that this strange directory that I have just noticed is then going to cause any problems when trying to set COSMOS executable when booting up a game.

Shame its not like on Windows where you can just open the trainer app and it either auto attaches to the game process or you add its executable directory within the trainer then hit Launch Game.

Off topic suggestion or question maybe, but would it be possible to have an application like COSMOS that installs onto the Steam Deck and acts like a remote debugger API where you could use a PC or MOBILE based application/debugger to then remotely attach trainers to a game process while its running on the Steam Deck and also be able to scan memory and make your own trainers.

I dont know exactly how it would work on the Steam Deck in terms of trainers because most trainers are created using Windows, so I don't know if the memory allocations ect be the same on Steam Deck with it been a horrible version of Linux?

But I have absolutely all the time in the world sat doing nothing since chemotherapy has pretty much crippled my body, so I have started to get back into creating cheats for games, even started to source cheat devices for my PS1/N64 (wish I could remember the PC tool for my GameCube to find cheat codes).

But that's what I would like to get back into doing as it used to be a hobby of mine back in the old days making cheat codes.

I have nothing else to do with my spare time other than stare at my walls and be in pain 24/7.

It isn't clear to me what exactly you are looking for. You are mixing up Cosmos and Aurora and talk about making trainers and remote debuggers. Between these topics are MILES and to talk about each one without a direct specific question it could fill a whole book.

So let me try and summarize it again.

    a) For Aurora I recommend a fresh start. Its actually pretty easy. Change game to use Steamtinker, in Steamtinker set Aurora to launch => Done.
    b) For Cosmos. The native linux version allows you to scan for values and modify them. You can do this for proton games. It is not necessary to run this version within Proton using Steamtinker like Aurora.
    c) We have no plans for remote debug stuff nor to make trainers. If you want to use our tools to make your own TRAINERS then this is not what we're doing here. We sell trainers, we provide tools people can use to cheat stuff our trainers don't have options for. With Cosmos Advanced we allow people to create and share cheat scripts but that's it. With the native linux version you can also create scripts if you know how to. Still its limited to scripts only and ever will be.

So setting up Aurora on Steamdeck is pretty easy. You can use Cosmos on Steamdeck either natively or emulated in proton. We have videos and text based tutorials here demonstrating both. If you have a specific question feel free to ask.

Thank you and sorry for the confusion.

I only speak of the way I was able to get Aurora to run before on my Steam Deck and sorry for the confusion my memory is terrible due to my illness and I think I have confused between Aurora and Cosmos.

All I remember is I had to run Desktop Mode while in Gaming Mode in order for the app to load up properly and fit on screen properly, then I think I remember it would be the only way I could switch between tabs (game/aurora).

So to make sure I know correctly, Aurora is a FREE APP to only load Trainers that CH sell, it is able to run "scripts" which is it safe to assume then this part is like CoSMOS where you can download tables and then load them and hope its going to work for your game version.

Not sure if I remember right, back then I thought I read it allowed you to download trainers off other sources such as cheathappens and be able to use them, or am I mistaken that this app is only for CH trainers and public scripts.

Sorry for the other stuff, I was basically wondering if CH allow lets say a community section for members to provide trainers for you, if so (which I now think is not) would there be any public tools such as remote debugging, for example on the PS4 there are remote debugger tools that allows you to create trainers over your network on PC/MOBILE to PS4/Steam Deck........ So that I now know is not possible nor ever will be (from CH).

All the directory dribble, again sorry, I wanted to try make sure when setting up that I am doing it correctly, but only recently I have noticed this strange directory crap which the Steam Deck is defaulting apps/games to which I do not recognise nor created and never noticed it before.

So maybe that I should not posted in here with it been more of a Steam Deck question rather than CH, but wondered if anyone in here has noticed the same recently, because it is not any directory I have placed things or able to navigate to, I have no clue why or even when this started.

I am again sorry if what I put is not making sense, I find it hard to explain using right wording, I always place games/applications/emulators in a nice clean/tidy organised way so it is always easy to find what you are looking for.

    But this:
    /run/user/1000/doc/

That only now seems to be defaulting all directories/games/applications is confusing me because sorry I repeat is not what I do nor did and fear it may cause problem setting up Aurora/Cosmos (which ever correct app i should use) when trying to install/set up and select to boot with a game, that it causes problems and cant do it like I recently find Steam Rom Manager with this strange directory it prevents it actually finding the application location where it is.

Sorry, english is very bad and if I confuse what I am trying to say.

I will delete everything Aurora/Cosmos etc. watch video multiple times until i know it like water off a ducks back and will try install and use it, touch wood this /run/user/1000/doc/ doesnt cause problem and I will google to find answers for why this is happening.

Thank you for replying, most other forums will ignore because I make no sense and I may sound stupid or thick, but I know how to find cheat addresses and all that and as a hobby I love to sit and spend time finding as much useful cheats as possible for a game before I move to another.

I often return back to games when I have idea for other possible cheats, last night I was even looking at cheats for GameBoy Color, Metal Gear Solid Ghost Babel and made cheat code where Solid Snake will auto play game for you and will automatically follow a set path from starting point a to end of current map point b while avoiding enemy walking path.

I know thats not relevant to this on Steam Deck or what CH do, but this is pretty much what I am like when looking for possible cheats across any console and I just wondered if any community area for sharing cheats (i believe you said is this "scripts" so I will also look into that).

Maybe I get it all working and can help contribute scripts for everyone 😊

    Thank you.

    EDIT:
I try read back what I put to try make sense more and confusing when I type in something then after posting it has changed that word to cheathappens or CoSMOS.

I mention Cheat ==Engine table and F=LI=NG Trainer and it changed the words so now confusing even more, so sorry for it.

    @DW1985

Please do not apologize, completely unnecessary here. We want to help in any way we can to get OUR software working for you. Obviously we block our competitors names, etc for a reason as we would like to stay in business so our 3M+ members won't lose their memberships. I am NOT well versed in this topic or the device so I can offer no advice, but either 0x90 or Jaz10 should be able to at least try and help. I hope you get it all figured out and working (Aurora/Cosmos or "other".

I can't say much else other than there WILL be an upcoming app (by us or a third party) that will change the game.

    Hi DW1985
To answer your first part Aurora is an app that can only run cheathappens trainers. You can't download other trainers and load them into Aurora.

I haven't noticed the directory being different but I havent had time as I wanted to mess with my steam deck.

Seems like you ran your Aurora in a different way than what has been recommended. I would suggest just looking at the video on how to install Aurora with Steam Tinker and going from there, we don't know if it will negatively impact your already installed aurora files because we dont know what method you used in the first place.

I honestly hated the Steam Deck because I forgot how much I've come to enjoy trainers. And outside of some emulation I haven't used it much.

Since finding out about running Aurora on here I've spent days trying to deal with one problem I have. I've waited up until this point to post, I've tried seemingly everything I can think of. I have no problem running Aurora, logging in, accessing the GUI. All of that was pretty straightforward. My one recurring issue is that it crashes mid-activation. Freezes completely.

    Any thoughts?
