Use Bottles (Flatpak) for non-Steam launchers, and then install the "Wine Mono" dependency (Which includes the Windows dependencies for trainers to work).
Add the Aurora.exe to the Bottle and then make sure Bottles has permission to access the file path where Aurora is (I'd recommend Flatseal for that (Also a Flatpak)).
You should just be able to run Aurora and then a game (Or launcher) just like you do on Windows.

Except one important thing with the OLED steam decks...because the steam deck starts up Aurora before it goes into the game (hence starting from the desktop), the game doesn't detect that the screen is an HDR screen so it doesn't let you use HDR, which is a real bummer.
I wonder if there's a way to get around this? Like being able to delay the start of the trainer by a few seconds (if that indeed is the issue). I did try running the game in borderless windowed and it didn't help anything. Is there a way aurora without launching another game, so it lingers in the background (and we can use the mobile app)?
On SteamTinker game menu there is a
"Inject custom command"
option. The tooltip says: "Inject the custom command by starting it after game executable running". Which sounds exactly what you are looking for. And below that checkbox you can specify the seconds it should wait for the custom command (Aurora) to run. I just tried it myself and it works the way you want. Game launches first, it waits X seconds and then Aurora launches.

I have a question about how to use trainers for steam deck that are not mobile ready. Say for instance far cry 5 trainer. When I use the aurora and select trainer for the game it will not let me select cheats and says game not selected. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Standalones are not fully supported. They either work or don't. I had success with Shadow of Mordor by binding my back buttons to whatever shortcut I need, but if the game is not being detected then there is no point.

im facing a problem while my installation. Where do i find proton 8.0-1d? Cant find it on ProtonUp-Qt and even if i install Proton 8-1 or 8-25 there is no 8.0-1d in the steamtinker menu.
Is there a new tutorial video?
Just use the latest. Most games will work with most proton versions, in only some rare cases where the game doesn't open will you need to download an older proton.
