Steam Deck Discussion

Hi there,

Firstly, you are amazing. Thank you for making my Steam Deck more fun, and for all your hard work.

Secondly, I had a fair amount of trouble with Aurora until I changed my Steam Deck's settings, and told it not to use the Beta versions of Steam Deck software. Since I went back to the 'generic' OS updates, it works better. That and using the Steam button to change the window to Aurora, then pressing it again to close the Steam OS overlay. You then minimize the Steam inbuilt keyboard (I wish we could disable it popping up), and volia, and it seems to work. This has meant I have not had the mouse issue, and I can control the trainer just by using my fingers on the touch screen.

Thirdly, I just wanted to see if things had changed regarding the Aurora working on RE4 on the Steam Deck. I could see on the RE4 2023 thread that it would not work according to Cal's post on the 29th of March 2023, regardless if you have the dinput8.dll in the game's directory. Have things changed by any chance? When I used Aurora on the Steam Deck with RE4, it just crashing at present. Desktop or Gaming mode.

Anyone able to get Disgea 7 Trainer to work on Steam Deck? The issue I am having is that even if I run the "-nopopupwindow" command in the launcher and set the ingame interface to either Windowed or Borderless the game still reverts to full screen which prevents you from selecting any items when switching to Aurora. Anyone else out there solve this?

Are you trying the command on desktop mode or gaming mode? The command no longer works for gaming mode. Something on steams end caused that issue. I would try on Desktop mode and see if that resolves your issue.

I was able to run aurora, however I cant find the trainer despite the fact I already added the folder where the trainer is located on my standalone file. But when I run and search downloaded/standalone it don't show up.

Is this on Steamdeck or Windows?

Steam deck, I was able to add the folder on standalone trainers, but it still does not show up on the downloaded/standalone section when I run the game. I tried restarting still does not show up, I have given up and just uninstall the game.

Does standalone trainer work on steam deck? I am able to add them as standalone trainer. I can also see them in Aurora. But when I run them, it says cheat happens is offline. I tried running standalone trainer.exe in steamtinker launch, it also says cheat happens is offline.

Where you add the aurora.exe in steam tinker launch is where you would add the standalone exe. I haven't gotten a standalone to work for me but other users have said they have. So its really hit or miss and its up to you to see if they work or not.

As always, if you provide the game name and if I own it I would test it and let you know if i can run it.
