Maybe it's trying to auto-update to 1.8.2? No idea if that works on SD or not. Try downloading 1.8.2 manually and see if the error goes away.

    Thanks a lot.

Actually I tried other games and the problem is the same. After I updated my Steam Deck and also Aurora, I started to face the issue.

Seems like it's game specific type of issue. Since the games worked before I'm holding out hope 0x90 can figure out a solution for this,, because it could very well fix the other games that hog the whole mouse input.

Can you name the list of other games you tried? I want to test them out.

Anyways to fix the issue in gaming mode go to settings and graphic settings then switch fullscreen to borderless. you can do the same in desktop mode or press alt+enter to switch to window mode.

Will try later today. Thanks for the advice.

Will also give you a list of games having the same issue.

Hello everyone, i recently tested aurora on my steam deck but i can't get it to work with the rockstar launcher and gta 5.
When i try other way like opening directly aurora to set the path to the gta 5.exe in the gta 5 trainer, i can't browse to the game folder because it's in .local and hidden.
Any ideas or tutorial i could follow for the rockstar launcher ?

    Thanks !😎

In dolphin which is the file explorer go to the location of the exe, right click and hit "copy location". You might need to use the launchers exe rather than gta v's exe. Then paste that in aurora. You will need to add "z:" to the front of the path or it will not be read. it should look something like "z:/home/deck/.local/share/..." I havent tried a game from rockstars launcher, I did try RDR2 (via Epic) which did give me "GAME FOUND" but it wasnt playable because of something with direct x11/vulkan. Ive tried games from Ubisoft and Epic launchers and got "GAME FOUND" as soon as I link them via their respective launcher. Good luck.

I use a mini keyboard and press CRTL+V. Maybe you can set one of your back buttons to crtl+v. See if that works.

Don’t mean to repost, but anyone have any idea why I can’t click on anything in the Aurora page while in gaming mode on SteamOS?

    Hey FlashyLatin
To answer your question, every game is different and some games can't run aurora in gaming mode because of the mouse issue, which seems to be on steam's end. I recommend to run it on desktop mode, if the game gives you issues still alt+enter to turn the fullscreen mode to windowed and it should fix it for you. I heard performance is affected but I haven't seen it.

You don't have to keep reading this next part is me just venting about an epiphany I had yesterday.

I don't know what's going on so don't take my comment for fact. But I believe it has to do with how the particular game handles mouse input in fullscreen mode with an overlaid window(since that is kinda what gaming mode does.) Unfortunately, the bypass of using -fullscreen, -borderless, and -windowed commands no longer work. I'm fairly new here so I wasn't around several months ago when they said that using those commands worked, to be honest, I thought it was just dumb luck since when I tried it it didn't work for me. So every time someone asks that question of no mouse on aurora, I answer "go on desktop mode, some games don't work on gaming mode."
But yesterday, when I was trying to find another way to run Uplay/Ubisoft games with aurora I noticed having issues with the mouse input on the aurora screen while Breakpoint ran in fullscreen. I was in desktop mode and alt+tabbing to the aurora window, or even desktop screen, wasn't giving me control of the mouse, the only thing that worked was turning the fullscreen to windowed. So that's when I realized that having overlaid windows running through a single instance/exe/service/whatchamacallit, and the game window happens to be in fullscreen, it could lock you into only being able to use mouse in the fullscreen window(all dependent on how that game handles mouse input) which is what I think is going on with gaming mode.
So long story short, gaming mode runs your game in fullscreen mode and there's currently no way to get around it.

Also, I have found a way to run epic/gog/ubisoft and i would assume any other launcher to work with aurora. It involves adding aurora to steam, launching that, going to the game of your choice and linking the launcher exe to the game's path (instead of the game's exe), then launching the game through that launcher which then lets aurora see the game is running. It's kinda weird since you are using steam to launch aurora, then you use aurora to launch another game launcher, which then finally launches a game. I can go into more detail later I'm still testing things. Hardest thing is linking the launcher exe but once you do its smooth sailing.

thanks for workaround, finally i can get trainer working with latest Assassin's Creed Mirage,
-Add Aurora.exe to Steam game, then run Aurora
-Add path "Ubisoft-Connect" to trainer , then launch the game "Ubisoft Connect"
-Login Ubisoft acc, , after login Ubisoft-Connect dont detected the game installation path, so need to add path or redownload the game. The problem is the "Ubisoft-Connect" , cannot parse the hidden directory path
(z:/home/deck/.local) , the . (dot) at the start of the directory name
to solved this just creating symlink directory, ex : "Document/mirage link to z:/home/deck/.local/share/.xxxx/...."
-Rescan that game path, then Ubisoft-Connect shoud detected the game ,

so far trainer working fine and no issue on game(crash/freeze...etc)
trainer also working on game mode, im using ios app to run the trainer

Glad someone understood my method, I write things down then come back later and I even confuse myself. I'm running on low hours of sleep so I'm having some trouble understanding where a symlink directory comes in. But ill check it out when I come back from a trip. Glad you found a way to get Ubisoft to detect your game.

Also, thanks for letting us know Mirage is working with Aurora.
