Can someone help me please I'm able to run Aurora on the steam deck. But every time I activate trainer. It fails the debug menu says control connected then it says "successfully attached to [the game I'm playing] then it says module engine: failed Checking at CreateToolhelp32Snapshot. Then collect player base, script error in line 12 cannot find aob for"Collect_player. I'm not sure what all that means. I'm not sure if it has to do with this game that I'm playing because of when I was playing bug fable Aurora was working fine. I tried playing two other games but Aurora seems to not be working on those games. Please can anyone help me or any advice is appreciated?
Hi BigPapaErn,
that sounds like a proton bug we are aware of. There is currently no workaround or fix we can apply as the bug goes really deep
Lost over hour beacuese instructions are outdated and unclear.
Finally Aurora appeared but the window freezes. It doesn't detect game. I downloaded script and added to favorites.
After button mashing only search bar reacts to keyboard but any touch input is disabled.
Nothing works. And there's no proton 8.0.1d don't know where you find that
have you tried using the most recent proton version?

I watched the video tutorial and for me it seems up to date and very clear. Please tell is which part is outdated and which part is unclear so we can update them.
And for the rest:
Which game is it?
What is "button mashing"?
Some games are known to take all input so Aurora doesn't get any. I read that switching to window mode or desktop mode fixes that.

No its not, multiple players are confused why their protonup has nothing inside. Like tinker tools.
And there's no specified proton version mentioned in post Wich is crucial otherwise everything crashes in 16s.
I got latest tinker12.12
Tried in proton experimental and stable.
Tried with final fantasy xv.
All input is lost, so you can press any button and nothing happens only when you open up keyboard it inputs in searchbar.
Don't know what you mean by window mode, I'd dosnt work in Linux desktop nor desk launcher

Hi Aeit,
Some games don't work in gaming mode. Other games don't work on fullscreen while on desktop mode. Which is going on with your FFXV, use desktop mode, hit alt+enter while in the game and that will switch from fullscreen to windowed. Or get to the point of the game you can change settings then go from fullscreen to windowed/borderless. I just tested it on mine and this was the issue. You also should change some settings to lower fps.
As for the crashing thats a steam deck issue, not a proton issue. You will need proton 7.X for certain games cause they dont play well with 8.0+, both versions run fine for me.
As for the tutorial only thing that needs to be added is that steam needs to be restarted, if its already opened, when steam tinker gets installed. In the video Eli never opens steam which is why it works for him, but most have steam already opened.
