Steam Deck Discussion

Hello Everyone. Just got my Steam Deck today and tried following the video. I have gotten to the part where you select Compatibility Options per game, but the Steam Tinker Option refuses to show up. I have Proton 8-6 and SteamTinkerLaunch 12.12 installed but SteamTinkerLaunch just refuses to show up as an option. Is the video not any good anymore? Is there a step Im missing?

If you havent restarted Steam you got to restart it for it to show up.

Hey guys,

I’m having an issue where I can’t get the Aurora window to work in gaming mode, my touch doesn’t have any response in the window whatsoever. I saw someone here say they had the same issue, and that they needed to change it to windowed mode to resolve it? I tried doing that via game menus and that still didn’t solve the issue. I also went into the Steam client and set it to “-popupwindow”, to no avail. What could I be doing wrong? I truly appreciate any help on this.

For each game, you need to login again and configure Aurora. Can I at least sync the settings with my account?
