Well..... Wrote a long post about how to get aurora working with Heroic/Epic games but I accidentally deleted when I went to preview and pressed back.

Gist is this doesn't work on standalones only AIOs, this only works on desktop mode not gaming. Due to how most games don't let you launch outside the epic store some games wont work. Since this is operating with steam rather than with heroic; save files won't be readily available without transferring first. Lastly, a keyboard with touchpad is recommended.

Add auroa.exe as a non-steam game to steam. Force compatibilities with STL, custom fork command path should be aurora.exe still, Use Proton8.4. Just use the latest proton you dont have to use STL. Launch aurora and it should run perfectly.

Find the trainer of the game you want to launch, click on "Use trainer," scroll to trainer settings and add a game path to the game's exe. Some games like Dragon Quest XI and Ys IX will let you launch just like this but other games like Strangers of Paradise and Kena require you to add a game argument. So if the game tells you to launch the game using an epic launcher, type in -EpicPortal to the game arguments in trainer settings. EpicPortal puts your game in offline mode and its enough to bypass the launcher requirement. But this doesn't work all the time, FF7R is stubborn and I couldn't bypass the launcher requirement.

Lastly, the saves are stored in a different folder due to adding aurora.exe to steam. If you want to transfer your save files over I would put my own personal path to finding the saves. Your saves will be different but it should give you a good idea.

STEAMID can be found when you launch aurora.exe. Steam Tinker Launcher pops up, hit Main menu then on top of the screen it will give the details, it should say Aurora(with a bunch of numbers here) those numbers are the ID.

Hey Odirus!

Try going to your controller layout and edit layout so the right or left trackpad is a mouse.
I believe the game that is running impacts how the mouse is going to act. Which game are you running?

I also followed the video but could not get it to work. It shows aurora and the game but when I launch the trainer it always says failed. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

What game are you trying? What do you mean by launch? Do you mean activate?

Yes when I try to activate it, it just fails. I have tried it for all the games I have installed. TMNT Shredders Revenge, Days Gone, River City Girls, Super Robot Wars. I haven’t been able to use Aurora on my stem deck yet. Although I am able to launch it.

I'm trying to use Aurora together with Scarlet Nexus on the steam deck, i got it all working per se, but i lose control over the aurora window a few seconds in, so i barely have time to activate and then it doesn't react to input any longer.
Latest zip, preview option on, d3d option in STL off.

Sorry, the staff might need to help you on this one since I can't view attached files. In Aurora does it say "GAME FOUND" in the trainer?

Whats the error with Days Gone you get? It cannot be the same as Days Gone isn't a .NET game.

@Jaz10: Error is a time out on Namedpiped Aurora creates if the target game is a .NET app.
