Aurora Features Requests Discussion

Try to run the game from game mode and not the desktop mode if you didn't try that already.
You should be able to switch between Aurora and the game via the Steam button easily.
If you still having issues let me know I will try to replicate the issue with this game.

I can get it to work with the trainer in desktop mode reasonably well.
You have to force enable steam input for the game (or you are stuck using touchscreen / mouse controls) , manually set the resolution to 1280x800 (fullscreen is fine), and use the steam + X shortcut to bring up the keyboard any time you want to get back to the desktop. Then use the alternate mouse controls (steam button + triggers & right pad) to set the trainer options and switch back to the game. It did end up in a non-responsive state once during my testing, so task switching (especially when the Steam app is trying to keep track of if you need the built-in controls to emulate a mouse or joystick) might not be 100% reliable.
Game mode, I have no idea. That's where I get stuck with the windows drawn on top of each other and no way to minimize or switch them.

I have started to test this and even though I think I messed up a step somewhere, just seeing the Aurora program load up and be able to start a trainer is awesome.
I might have to just remove my dual boot, since using Aurora was one of the reasons I did a dual boot.

I’ve tried it with Spider-Man remaster and worked great but I just wanted to share with everyone what happens with me. I had to activate the toggles one by one and play a bit in between. Because if I spent too long trying to activate cheats on the app portion it would just restart my deck. But if I did one by one only spending a couple seconds and going back and forth it worked perfectly.

Steam Deck isn't out in my country yet so I'm still waiting on it, now I've got an extra reason to be excited!

I have followed the steps and can get to this to work, almost.

2 issues I'm having is (with Tales Of Arise as an example), when getting to the trainer page for the game - the font size seems to be such that, I cannot see the part which allows me to enter the trainer.

So even if I can navigate to the trainer of choice - I cannot click on it.

Secondly, when launching from game mode - I cannot reliably get to the login screen. I have to switch windows by pressing the steam menu.

Ok, so EDIT: I tried maximizing the window and I can see the 'active trainer' button now, but after doing this, I can't scroll down to see other trainer options and cannot un-maximize the trainer size either. So the main issue is the size of aurora during non-maximized mode.

First, really appreciate the tutorial and your efforts here, CH! I know SteamOS is not at all intuitive to work with, but the hardware support of the SteamDeck is such a plus compared to Aya Neo who keeps dropping new devices every couple of months along with very solid repairability.

Been testing this and do get the same behavior as others regarding the game being in the foreground in GameMode even after switching windows to Aurora. I’ve seen this with Persona 4 and Nier Automata when set to Full screen, Windowed, and Borderless mode.

In Desktop Mode, I have better luck, but for the above trainers, script errors occur after activating the trainer. I suspect that this might be because I’m using some plugins in DeckyLoader. Will revert to stock and test tonight to update folks.
