One of the first things I always recommend when there is an issue on Steamdeck is to try a different proton version. I know that Proton 8 is extremely stable and works very well with Aurora. You can download Proton versions from your steam library under tools / software. Then in the SDTool at the top left open game settings, choose your game from the list and then at the right side you can change the Proton version to for example 8 when its installed. Then try again. For Kingdom Come I see no reason why it should not work.
It looks like it still not functioning. I changed kingdom come deliverance and no man's sky proton to 8, and Im still having the same problem...the aurora trainer freezes and is complete unresponsive. I have no idea what else to do. I even tried delaying how quickly the launcher opens up thinking maybe the game opening at the same time was making it crash, I delayed it for 80 seconds and even while I already had the game up and running it still froze and I couldn't do anything with the trainer. Very frustrating as this isn't at all what I paid for.
Does Aurora freezes when its "idle" or when you activate the trainer? Maybe the trainer activation just needs a little bit longer

It crashes as the game is loading. Though if I start trying to click things before the game has even loaded then it freezes/crashes immediately. The trainer starts and does it all automatically. I tried doing it manually by going in the settings and making it so it doesn't start automatically with kingdom come deliverance, but it still crashes and becomes unresponsive.
Where does Steam Deck default trainer files?
I am having an issue with Lobotomy Corp with an error message "money, Script error in line 1: Cannot find aob for 'originalcode_773283'". I see a suggestion for cleaning trainer files but the paths are to windows user folders. I am a Linux noob I am not sure where to find these on Steam Deck.
This suggestion is not relevant for SD. Either the trainer needs an update (if it also doesnt work on Windows) or the trainer is incompatible with SD version.

I just installed the game on my SD. Im using Proton 8.0 and it doesnt crash nor it freezes. The problem is that the game gets all the input so you cannot "click" on anything in Aurora. This is something Valve has to fix in Proton but its unlikely to happen. You have the same issue even without SD tool. A workaround is to use mobile app to toggle trainer options or an external keyboard. Or switch to desktop mode.
Same applies to all other games where this happens.
