Not had any luck with aurora on steam deck. I only get 3 proton options and tried all 3 with Witcher 3 and aurora. Aurora will load with all 3 but when I try to get Witcher to continue my game it will crash every time unless I load without aurora. It only game I put on deck cause would like to complete but I am a horder so use the weight cheat 😂. I have steam set to compatible aurora for each game so it loads when my game starts but even after I try all 3 proton( beta, experiment and proton) still no joy. Anyone get Witcher 3 to run on deck with aurora and how you get it to work?

You need to download a different proton version. You can do this using ProtonQT-up in the discovery store. Then you can see a different proton version. Never use experimental or hotfix version of proton.

I mostly use Aurora on my Steam Deck. For the odd game, it wants me to select my trainer (Steam or GamePass) but I can’t interact with the trainer to choose which option I want. Is anyone else having this issue (I am trying to run the trainer for Dreamlight Valley).

The game only plays in full screen mode and the trainer works on PC.

If you cannot interact with Aurora:

    - Check if SD developer mode is enabled (it might have been reset)
    - Try run the game in window or borderless mode
    - Try the desktop mode of SD
    - Try the mobile app

Depending on the trainer you can also launch Aurora only, for example by adding it as a third party app to your Steam library. Then open the trainer, you can now select the trainer you want and check the 'remember my choice'.

Then run the game with Aurora again and it should skip the selection page.

when in game mode on fullscreen you can switch between aurora and game by clicking the steam button at the bottom left and the at the bottom your see your game and aurora. just click or use arrows and click on aurora then hit B to come out to pick your cheats then hit steam button and go back to game. find it easy that way but find it hard to scroll down to find what I was looking, maybe need smaller fingers 😂

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for the game. Aurora can be opened but I can’t interact with it when using Dreamlight Valley. I can’t get passed the pick a trainer screen for the game. It worked yesterday for some reason and now just reverts back to the pick a trainer screen and I can’t continue past that.

I have a keyboard and mouse for my Steam Deck and even using these doesn’t work. The mouse will move around Aurora but clicking on anything doesn’t work.

I have tried all these things and none work for me for this game on the Steam Deck. The trainer worked last night for the first time but trying it today, it reverted back to the pick a trainer screen and won’t progress further since clicking on anything in Aurora on the Steam Deck when Dreamlight Valley is running doesn’t do anything.

I just tested it and if you check the 'dont ask again', it doesn't ask again. Works absolutely fine.
