Unfortunately as the Whole Home Protection is ISP/Router based and not on my PC i dont have any control over being able to whitelist websites.. So if it comes down to it ill just disable it on an as needed basis or just continue to manually update Aurora when i get the error.

    Thanks

For the record, it didnt always do this, only the past few months or a year or so

Aurora was only released in March of this year. That's really odd that you have no control over sites that can be whitelisted. But appreciate your help in this matter with your feedback.

yeah not surprising i remembered incorrectly the amount of time ive been dealing with it, thus the few months to a year timeframe as i couldnt remember when it was released.. Verizon Whole Home Protection powered by McAFee in case you wanted to read up on it or something.. Its basically Network wide protection and WIFI monitoring

I have App control over what type of content to allow/block such as dating websites and turning off the protection but not when it comes to websites injecting or using certain types of data or protocols and the like, which appears to partially be the problem im having,

When attempting to download a trainer this is what i have to deal with (separate issue from the one mentioned in this thread)

Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.cheathappensdownloads.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).
    NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

This server couldn't prove that it's www.cheathappensdownloads.com; its security certificate is from *.safezone.mcafee.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

And then when i hit Continue (Unsafe) I get this
Whoa, we flagged this site as malicious.
Sure you want to go there? This site could steal your sensitive info and hijack your device with malware -

With the option to Continue and download the trainer. when it comes to the SSL stuff i can manually update Aurora to get it working normally each time the program or its data changes or disable the Protection so it can auto update.

Now that i think about it, it could be the website name that looks suspicious to McAfee as part of the problem..

And np, always willing to help you guys. and sorry for the wall of text lol

    AH YES
The website stuff is what ive been dealing with for up to a year because downloading trainers was not always blocked and the Network Protection has been a thing with Verizon for a couple years now.. That makes more sense lol, sorry about that

See, this makes no sense. If you check our SSL cert for cheathappensdownloads.com it's perfectly fine. But it seems that for some reason it's Cloudflare's cert that shows up and not our cert from Sectigo installed on the server itself. But we have had some people report getting that cert invalid error. I wonder what the ultimate fix is? We can certainly change the URL to one of our others, but there is no reason why this domain name shouldn't work fine to section off our downloads from the primary domain. hmmm... I'm going to try messing around with our Cloudflare security settings a bit.

Thanks for putting the time in to figure it out
if you think about it, that link is kinda phishy/scammy sounding IN A WAY from an AV perspective so that may be part of it?.. As far as the Certs go though thats beyond me as im not a webbie lol.. But yeah, it didnt always do that, only within the past year that it started doing the warnings.. Did you always use that link for trainer downloads? i may be wrong but i dont think so?

no idea.. But greatly appreciate you trying to resolve it.

Did I missed something? Because this here:

This server couldn't prove that it's www.cheathappensdownloads.com; its security certificate is from *.safezone.mcafee.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.

Is the same as I wrote few posts ago. McAfee is breaking any (at least this and Aurora) SSL certificate and reencrypt it using its own SSL certificate. Every client or browser which validates the FQN in the certificate against the URL you want to open notices that the (McAfee) certificate obviously wasn't made for this URL so they refuse to open it.

I dont see how anything on our end is broken or faulty. The problem is obviously only McAfee's behavior.

While that may be true, its also true that this didnt start happening until the trainer download links changed.. If it were up to me i wouldnt be using Mcafee crap to begin with but its part of the ISP/Router system and has actually helped my family from going to shady sites in the past..

If its strictly a mcafee issue i dont have a problem with disabling it when i need to, but id rather find out if theres anything PWiz can do about it on his end that wouldnt be a pain in the butt to resolve but would also in the end help any other Verizon FIOS users running into the same thing.

If you guys could set up some test download links id be willing to give them a try to see whether or not there are specific parts of the link/name/data etc that mcafee doesnt like
