Can confirm that the new trainer crashes the game when selecting a counselor.

The trainer also seems to be entirely hostile to modding the game. I modified some files, in particular to change up the councils you can pick at the 5 player option, and the trainer gets the error listed above. Undid the modification and boom, the trainer is working again. It is also non-compatible with any modifications that allow for tech research to lower control point maintenance (let you control more CP's).

Game updated AGAIN like it does about every 12 hours or so. A new trainer has been posted which should fix any crashes, but no idea how long it will last.

How on earth can cheathappensify the game with our trainer and know if it will affect 1000 other mods that might be done for the game?

Try the latest trainer. Maybe it helps. MAYBE it's that the game is broken hopelessly which is why they are patching it every 6 hours.

We are doing our best here, but titles like this one make life very difficult for us here
