i didn't do exactly what you did. i waited for them to gather 30 wood after building storage, then i made it 130 using the editor. they used the wood from the storage building and the number did not change. when the storage was empty, they didn't build any of the queued buildings. i will try it your way from 0 up + i'll try freezing the value once they've stored 30 and see if either of those work.
out of curiosity, how much wood did you add in the editor? maybe 130 was too high.
edit: nothing happening for me. tried freezing an actual gathered amount, adding to 0, adding small amounts. nothing worked.

first i set wood to zero using the editor then workers stopped working then added 100 and they started working again.

it still doesnt work for me. even though i paused the game, change the 'mushroom' to 0, unpause the game to let it run, then pause it again, change the editor 100, unpause it,. The 'mushroom' on mycologist building, still says what i had from the game.

I think what is happening there is this:
You have resources in the stock pile so workers are doing their thing.
You set the resources to 0 and this just "breaks" the workers. They believe the resources are gone but my tests show that the resources are still in the storehouses. The workers just think they don't have any.
When you set the resources to a new value you are not adding resources you are just re-enabling to workers to use the resources in the storehouse.
I think what may have to happen in order to modify resources is that you specifically have to target a storehouse/warehouse and then modify the resources within that. This global targeting doesn't seem to be possible. I feel like the values that are calculated are different from the values stored. Like totalresources=storehouse1 + warehouse1, but changing total resources does not inherently mean there is an update to the storehouse or warehouse value where the workers would actually pull the resource from.

editor is for the total resources of what you have not from the building.
what I was trying to explain is that the total resources are fake. the global number in the corner is a sum of all available sources, whether stacks on the ground or warehouse inventory. if the game was coded better, then the numbers that the editor modifies wouldn't stick, and would just snap back to the global sum total. regardless of the edited number, once there are no more stacks of harvested wood and the warehouses are empty, there is nowhere for the colonists to retrieve wood and they stop building. modifying the global total doesn't create wood, it just changes the displayed total. the only way to actually create resources is to make a stack bigger or to change a warehouse's inventory. colonists need an individual location to retrieve resources, and if there are no locations for the individual to path to, then they can't pick it up, regardless of what the global total says. changing global total doesn't change stack size or warehouse inventory, so there aren't any additional resources to use.
alright added one more option for the resources within the buildings to set them at max value provided by the game thus making it unlimited hopefully this solves the resource issues.

that should work. I'll check it out. thanks for your efforts.

unfortunately, this has not fixed the problem for me. the red 'no supplies' flags aren't there, the number of items in the storages show a max 30/30 for all items. but the carriers don't carry and the builders don't build.
